Tips for writing
Write badly first. You can’t edit a blank page.
Don’t stop to fix spelling—keep moving.
One honest sentence is enough to begin.
If you’re stuck, describe the room you’re in.
Write what you remember, not what you wish happened.
Short sentences are powerful. Use them.
You don’t have to show this to anyone.
Stay with the feeling, not the explanation.
If it hurts to write, you’re probably close to something real.
Write for 5 minutes. Stop when the timer ends.
Start in the middle if the beginning feels hard.
Say it simply. Complexity can come later.
Your voice matters exactly as it is.
If you lose focus, write one word and continue.
This page doesn’t need to be perfect—just finished.
